Taiwan expects limited impact from new 10 percent US global tariffs

Taiwan says the initial impact of new 10 percent US global tariffs appears limited. Officials are monitoring the situation and communicating with Washington.

The Trump administration has officially imposed a flat global tariff of 10 percent, a move originating from the United States USUS that has drawn immediate attention from international trade partners. Following the announcement, the Taiwan TWTW cabinet stated that the initial impact of the new measures on the island appears to be limited. The government is currently analyzing the scope of the policy as it begins to take effect globally.
