Spanish annual harmonised inflation drops to 2.4 percent in January

Spain's harmonised inflation rate dropped to 2.4 percent in January as energy costs fell. This represents the largest year-on-year decline since March 2025.

The final EU-harmonised 12-month inflation rate for Spain ESES fell to 2.4% in January, down from 3.0% in December. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), which released the final figures today, the reading was slightly below the earlier flash reading and the average forecast of 2.5% from analysts polled by Reuters.
