SpaceX Starship Test Strengthens Case for $1.75T IPO
SpaceX successfully launched its upgraded Starship V3 prototype on Friday, deploying mock satellites and achieving a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean. While the Super Heavy booster failed its landing attempt, analysts believe the progress reduces execution risks before the company begins its June roadshow for a potential eighty billion dollar offering.
SpaceX will proceed with an $80 billion IPO roadshow on June 4 following a successful test flight of Starship on May 27, 2023. The 12th test flight demonstrated critical progress in satellite deployment despite the failure to land the Super Heavy booster. Investors view the $1.75 trillion valuation as a bet on SpaceX’s ability to dominate orbital AI infrastructure and deep-space missions.
