Space startup Apex valuation hits 2.3 billion dollars
The satellite manufacturer raised over 200 million dollars to expand its production campus and support defense projects like the Golden Dome initiative. This latest investment round more than doubles the company's valuation from its previous one billion dollar mark set in September.
Apex more than doubled its valuation to $2.3 billion after raising over $200 million in a new funding round. The capital injection comes less than a year after Apex reached a $1 billion valuation in September last year. Investors are increasingly targeting space infrastructure as commercial satellite networks and government defense contracts expand in the United States.
### Scaling Satellite Production The funding round was led by Glade Brook Capital Partners and co-led by Washington Harbour Partners. Apex will use the capital to accelerate the expansion of its satellite manufacturing campus and fund ahead-of-need production of its satellite platforms. Apex specializes in building satellite buses that host commercial and government payloads, including Earth-imaging sensors and missile tracking systems.
