South African miner Valterra Platinum reports nearly double annual profit on surging metal prices

Valterra Platinum reported a surge in annual earnings driven by higher metal prices and cost cuts. Headline earnings per share rose to 63.48 rand in 2025.

Valterra Platinum reported on February 25, 2026, that its annual profit nearly doubled for the financial year ended December 2025. The company, which operates in South Africa ZAZA, attributed the significant growth in earnings to a combination of higher platinum prices and successful operational cost reductions.
