The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, has stated that Ukraine appears to have no intention of resuming the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline. This assessment follows a high-level discussion with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy regarding the energy corridor that serves both the Slovak Republic and Hungary. Supplies through this critical infrastructure were suspended on January 27 following what Kyiv described as a Russia strike on pumping facilities.
