India's markets regulator proposed to expand intraday borrowing for mutual funds beyond investor redemptions to include trade settlements and derivative margins. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) also deferred implementing these new liquidity guidelines until July 15. The move transforms intraday borrowing into a broader cash management tool for asset managers.
