North American Blue Energy Loads Venezuelan Oil for China
North American Blue Energy is loading one million barrels of Venezuelan crude for China. This marks the first shipment since the US took control of sales.
North American Blue Energy, an entity backed by energy magnate Harry Sargeant III, has moved to export approximately 1 million barrels of crude oil from Venezuela for delivery to China. According to reports from Bloomberg News, the shipment is currently loading onto the tanker Skage and consists of 950,000 barrels of Merey 16 crude destined for the port of Qingdao. This transaction marks a significant milestone as the first delivery of Venezuelan oil to the Asian nation since the United States assumed control over the country's oil exports earlier this year. The move follows recent policy shifts by the Trump administration to ease sanctions and encourage American companies to revive the local energy sector. Harry Sargeant III has reportedly been advising government officials on engineering a return for American oil firms to the region. His broader business interests, which include the production of several oilfields and associations with firms such as Tipco Asphalt Public Company Limited, are heavily involved in the export of asphalt and heavy crude grades. Neither the company nor Sargeant were immediately available for comment.
