The attack, which occurred last week at the Sheskharis oil terminal, reportedly ignited a large fire and disabled two of the facility's primary berths. This disruption is particularly impactful given that the Novorossiysk port typically handles approximately 14% of the total crude exports from the region, influencing the global pricing of benchmarks such as Brent Crude Oil.
