Remy Cointreau Launches RC Forward Transformation Plan
The spirits maker launched its RC Forward plan on Wednesday to address market challenges. New leadership and distribution changes aim to improve company growth.
The French spirits group REMY COINTREAU has launched a strategic transformation plan designed to revitalize profitability and spur growth following a period of market volatility. Based in France, the maker of Remy Martin cognac and Cointreau liqueur is responding to a sector-wide downturn and the specific challenges posed by trade tariffs in its two largest markets, the United States and China. The initiative, branded as RC Forward, aims to insulate the company against macroeconomic cycles through a combination of enhanced distribution networks, disciplined revenue management, and an optimized organizational structure. Group CEO Franck Marilly noted that the strategy is intended to help the firm regain its competitive edge. > After three years marked by a complex environment, it is time for Remy Cointreau to stand out within its industry. As part of the organizational shift, the company has established a steering committee within its executive board and announced key leadership appointments. Finance chief Luca Marotta will take on additional responsibilities as deputy CEO, while Celia d’Everlange has been named chief transformation officer. In her new role, d’Everlange will oversee the development of the group’s prestige brands, including Louis XIII, Telmont, and Maison Psyché. The announcement comes as Remy Cointreau seeks to recover from a significant share price decline, with its stock trading near 16-year lows after falling more than 82% from its 2021 peak. Despite these long-term pressures, the company recently reported a return to quarterly sales growth for the first time since 2023. Investors reacted positively to the news, with shares rising more than 3% in early Wednesday trading. The group expects to provide a progress report on the three-year plan alongside its annual results in June, with updated medium-term targets scheduled for release in November.
