Reckitt misses first quarter sales growth expectations
Reckitt reported 1.3% revenue growth for the first quarter, missing analyst estimates of 2.9%. The firm maintained its 2026 outlook despite soft market demand.
The consumer goods giant RECKITT BENCKISER GROUP PLC reported a 1.3% increase in like-for-like net revenue for its core business during the first quarter, falling short of market expectations. Analysts had projected a growth rate of 2.9% for the three-month period ending in March, according to a company-compiled poll. The manufacturer, known for brands such as Dettol, attributed the slower-than-expected growth to weak pricing dynamics in the United States and softer consumer demand across Europe. Despite the quarterly miss, the company reaffirmed its long-term financial targets, maintaining its outlook for 2026. These results highlight the ongoing challenges for global consumer health and hygiene firms as they navigate shifting market conditions and pricing pressures in major economies.
