Premier Energy buys Romanian power network for $824 million
Premier Energy will buy the Oltenia power network from Macquarie for $824 million. The deal is expected to reach financial close in the second half of 2026.
PREMIER ENERGY PLC has reached an agreement to acquire the power distribution network of Evryo Group from the asset management arm of Australia-based MACQUARIE GROUP LTD. The transaction is valued at approximately 700 million euros, or roughly $824.39 million.

The deal includes the acquisition of Distributie Energie Oltenia, a regulated electricity distribution network serving the south-western region of Romania. Premier Energy stated that the move is intended to address infrastructure gaps within its primary market.
To fund the acquisition, the company is considering a potential bond offering to cover all or part of the costs. According to statements from both companies, the transaction is expected to reach financial close in the second half of 2026.
