PINE LABS LTD reported a fourth-quarter profit of 593.6 million rupees ($6.23 million) on Monday, reversing a 289.1 million rupee loss from the previous year. The result marks the first full year of profitability for the fintech firm as digital payment adoption accelerates across India. The shift signals a maturing merchant ecosystem where value-added services are finally converting transaction volume into consistent bottom-line gains.
### Scaling Beyond Transaction Volume The firm achieved an annual profit of 1.13 billion rupees for the fiscal year ended March 31. This turnaround followed a 50% surge in platform gross transaction value (GTV), which measures the total value of payments processed before fees.
