Oil CEOs Warn Trump Officials of Growing Energy Crisis
Oil CEOs warned the White House that the energy crisis from the Iran war will likely worsen. They cited disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz as a major risk.
Top executives from the largest oil producers in the United States have reportedly cautioned the Trump administration that the global energy crisis is poised to intensify. According to reports from The Wall Street Journal on Sunday, the warnings stem from the geopolitical instability caused by the ongoing war involving Iran.
The chief executive officers of Exxon Mobil Corporation, Chevron Corporation, and ConocoPhillips participated in a series of high-level meetings at the White House last Wednesday. During these sessions and subsequent discussions with Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, the industry leaders highlighted the severe risks facing global supply chains.
