Novonesis misses fourth quarter sales targets as agriculture and energy growth stalls

The Danish firm reported 4% organic growth, missing analyst targets. Stagnation in agriculture units weighed on results despite a positive 2026 outlook.

Novonesis reported weaker-than-expected organic sales growth for the fourth quarter on February 25, 2026, as the company’s performance fell short of analyst expectations. The group announced organic growth of 4% versus a consensus figure of 5.2%. This quarterly miss was accompanied by an adjusted EBITDA of €364.6 million, which was €10 million below consensus.
The results in Denmark DKDK were primarily driven by flat euro revenue in its Agriculture, Energy & Tech unit, which contributed to the weaker organic growth. This revenue weakness was partially offset by the company’s 2025 acquisition of the remaining stake in Feed Enzyme Alliance. Despite this mitigating factor, currency headwinds also reduced reported euro sales for the period.
