Nevada Extends Ban on Kalshi Prediction Market Operations

A judicial ruling in the United States has extended a ban on the prediction market operator Kalshi, preventing the company from offering event-based contracts in the state of Nevada without first obtaining a formal gaming license. Judge Jason Woodbury, presiding over a court hearing in Carson City, announced he would issue a preliminary injunction requested by the Nevada Gaming Control Board to bar the platform from facilitating bets on sports, elections, and other matters.
