Mexico annual inflation rises faster than expected in early February
Consumer prices rose more than anticipated this month as core inflation remained stubborn. These data suggest the central bank may delay rate cuts in March.

MX's annual inflation rate reached 3.92% in the first half of February, coming in slightly above expectations from a Reuters poll. This reading represents an acceleration from the 3.77% rate recorded in the first half of January. According to the national statistics agency, core inflation, which tracks underlying price trends, stood at 4.52% for the same period.
