Man Group shares fall as profit drops despite record assets
Man Group assets hit a record $227.6 billion in 2025 while pre-tax profits fell 14% to $407 million. Shares fell 2.5% despite results beating analyst estimates.
Shares of Man Group Limited declined on Thursday as the London-listed hedge fund reported a significant drop in annual profits, overshadowing a record-breaking surge in its total assets under management. The firm reported that assets under management climbed 35% to reach a new peak of $227.6 billion during 2025, while profit before tax retreated 14% to $407 million. Despite the profit dip, both figures surpassed the expectations of analysts who had forecasted $225 billion in assets and $342.9 million in profit.
