LEGRAND SA reported a first-quarter adjusted operating profit of €524.7 million, an 11.5% increase from the previous year. The result beat a company-provided consensus of €519 million. Demand for AI infrastructure in the United States is offsetting a slowdown in European residential construction.
Sales rose 11.4% during the period, fueled by a 29.1% jump in the American market. Tech firms are expanding data centers to support AI models, according to France-based Legrand. CEO Benoit Coquart told reporters that data center activity should reach 30% of sales in 2026.
