Russia is seeking joint economic projects with the United States if Washington decouples trade relations from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The war began nearly two years ago, with Russia controlling approximately 20% of Ukrainian territory. For investors, decoupling sanctions from trade could reopen Arctic mineral reserves and infrastructure projects.
