Keurig and Nestlé Extend Starbucks Distribution Deal
Keurig and Nestlé have extended their deal to distribute Starbucks coffee pods in North America. The partnership boosts retail reach for the brewing system.
KEURIG DR PEPPER INC and Nestlé USA have expanded their partnership to manufacture and distribute Starbucks-branded coffee products across North America. This agreement extends a 2020 deal to produce and sell Starbucks packaged coffee and K-Cup pods in the United States and Canada.
The companies plan to boost distribution within the Keurig brewing system, the machines for single-serve coffee that are widely used in households and businesses across the region. Nestlé, which acquired the rights in 2018 to market and distribute Starbucks products globally outside of the chain's coffee shops, handles the retail channel distribution. The arabica coffee beans used in the products continue to be sourced and roasted by Starbucks.
