KANSAI NEROLAC PAINTS LTD reported a 3.5% rise in fourth-quarter profit as automotive demand and price hikes offset rising material costs. The results for the quarter ended March 31 show a consolidated net profit of 1.12 billion rupees ($11.84 million). Strong auto sales in India remain the primary growth driver for the paintmaker.
### Price Hikes Counter Raw Material Inflation Revenue from operations climbed 7.5% to 19.54 billion rupees during the quarter. To protect margins against rising input costs, the company implemented price increases of 2% to 3% starting late March. These adjustments helped cushion the impact of total expenses, which rose nearly 6% to 1.81 billion rupees.
