A federal judge blocked the United States Department of Agriculture from conditioning more than $74 billion in annual funding on state compliance with federal policies on Friday. The ruling halts attempts to link food assistance and farmer support to immigration enforcement and gender identity executive orders. The decision ensures the continued flow of federal nutrition program funds to 20 states and the District of Columbia.
