Japan recorded its seventh consecutive month of export growth in March, as robust demand for artificial intelligence technology helped mitigate the immediate impact of trade disruptions in the Middle East. Government data released on Wednesday showed that total exports by value increased 11.7% year-on-year, surpassing the median market forecast of an 11% rise. The nation recorded a trade surplus of 667 billion yen ($4.18 billion) for the month, though this was smaller than the 1.1 trillion yen surplus initially projected.
