Jabil Lifts Annual Forecasts Amid AI Infrastructure Boom
Jabil raised its 2026 revenue forecast to 34 billion dollars citing high demand for AI data centers. Second quarter results also beat Wall Street expectations.
Jabil Inc., the electronic component manufacturer based in the United States, has increased its annual profit and revenue outlook following a surge in demand for artificial intelligence data center infrastructure. The St. Petersburg-based firm reported second-quarter results that exceeded Wall Street expectations, leading to a 1.1% rise in share price during premarket trading.
For the second quarter, the company posted an adjusted profit of $2.69 per share, significantly higher than the $2.51 anticipated by analysts. Revenue for the period jumped 23% year-over-year to reach $8.28 billion, surpassing the consensus estimate of $7.74 billion. This growth is largely attributed to the massive capital expenditures currently being directed toward computing power necessary for AI technologies.
Results were fueled by continued momentum in intelligent infrastructure, where demand remains robust across cloud and data center infrastructure, networking and communications, and capital equipment.
Beyond data centers, the company saw strength in regulated industries, with the automotive and renewable energy sectors performing better than anticipated. As a key supplier that manufactures components for Apple Inc., Jabil also provides design and production solutions for a wide range of industries, including healthcare, storage, and transportation.
Looking ahead, the company now projects fiscal 2026 revenue to reach $34 billion, an increase from its previous guidance of $32.4 billion. Adjusted earnings per share are now expected to be $12.25, up from the earlier estimate of $11.55. These updated figures sit well above analyst projections, which had averaged $32.71 billion in revenue and $11.67 in adjusted profit per share.
