IVANHOE MINES LTD-CL A has secured a dominant position in the sulphuric acid market within the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to the company's chief executive. Speaking on the sidelines of a copper industry gathering in Santiago, CEO Marna Cloete highlighted that the Vancouver-based miner is benefiting from a "captive audience" as global supplies of the essential chemical tighten due to ongoing conflict involving Iran.
