This shift signals a deepening of economic ties as European nations seek stable allies to reduce reliance on the United States.
### Expanding the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor Modi arrived in Rome on Tuesday evening for his first bilateral visit to the country. He is scheduled to meet Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday at the Villa Doria Pamphili to discuss the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). This project, established via a 2023 memorandum, aims to link Indian trade routes to the Arabian Gulf and Europe.
