Bending Spoons Files for US IPO at 20 Billion Valuation
Milan-based Bending Spoons has filed for a Nasdaq listing following a profitable first quarter with 601 million dollars in revenue. The tech firm aims for a 20 billion dollar valuation as it joins a busy summer IPO window alongside other major market entrants.
Bending Spoons filed for a United States IPO on Monday, targeting a valuation of approximately $20 billion. The Italy-based tech firm swung to a $27.5 million net income in the first quarter, reversing a $112.2 million loss from the prior year. Investors are monitoring the filing as a bellwether for the sustainability of the current summer issuance window.
### Profitable Pivot Drives Nasdaq Ambitions Founded in 2013, the Milan-based company reported $601 million in revenue for the three months ended March 31, more than doubling the $259 million generated during the same period last year. This growth follows a series of acquisitions including AOL, Eventbrite, and the recent purchase of video platform Vimeo. Bending Spoons plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker BSP.
