Iran aims to restore oil refining capacity in two months
Iran aims to restore 70 to 80 percent of its refining capacity within two months. Repairs have begun at the Lavan refinery following strikes on energy assets.
Iran expects to restore the majority of its refining and distribution facilities within a one-to-two-month period as the nation recovers from recent strikes on its energy infrastructure. A senior oil ministry official indicated that authorities are targeting a return to 70% to 80% of pre-attack capacity.
Deputy Minister of Oil Mohammad Sadeq Azimifar stated that repair work has already commenced, with a focus on bringing critical units back online. He noted that the Lavan refinery is expected to see a partial resumption of operations in the near future.
Repair work had begun and that part of the Lavan refinery is expected to resume operations within about 10 days, with other units coming back online gradually.

The recovery of Iranian processing facilities is being closely watched by global energy participants. The potential for supply stabilization has implications for the valuation of Brent Crude Oil and West Texas Oil, both of which remain sensitive to geopolitical developments in the region.
