Indonesia Revokes Operating Permits for 28 Companies Following Regional Flooding

IDannounced on Tuesday the revocation of operating permits for 28 companies operating within the forestry, plantation, and mining sectors. Presidential spokesperson Prasetyo Hadi prasetyo hadiconfirmed during a press conference on January 20, 2026, that the enforcement action involves concessions covering a total area of one million hectares, which is equivalent to approximately 2.47 million acres.
