IndiGo Reports Seventy-Five Percent Profit Drop After Flight Cancellations and Regulatory Penalties

India's largest airline reported a sharp profit decline following major operational disruptions and regulatory fines. The carrier now faces capacity cuts.

洞察:
InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) , which commands nearly two-thirds of the aviation market in India ININ, reported a 75% plunge in its third-quarter net profit to 6.13 billion rupees ($66.9 million). The sharp decline for the period ending March 2026 was primarily driven by a massive 14.67 billion rupee one-time charge. This financial hit included 5.77 billion rupees in costs related to a major operational crisis in early December when poor roster planning forced the airline to cancel thousands of flights, resulting in a total $63 million impact.
