Indian shares rise as banks lead on credit guarantee

India's UTI NIFTY 50 ETF rose 0.4% to 24,127.90 on Wednesday morning following government approval of a $1.9 billion credit guarantee scheme. The UTI BSE SENSEX ETF added 0.31% as 13 of 16 major sectors traded in the green. The liquidity buffer supports small firms and bank asset quality amid ongoing conflict in Iran.
