The India rupee experienced a sharp rally on Monday, recovering from historical lows after the central bank introduced new restrictions on foreign exchange positions. The US Dollar / Indian Rupee exchange rate moved to 93.85 per dollar in early trading, marking an appreciation of nearly 1% from the record low of 94.84 hit on Friday.
