Indian Potash receives higher urea bids amid Iran conflict
Indian Potash received urea bids starting at 935 dollars per ton today. Prices rose sharply from previous levels as conflict in the Middle East impacts supply.
Indian Potash Ltd has received offers to supply 5.6 million metric tons of urea in its latest procurement tender, with prices significantly exceeding those from previous rounds. This sharp increase in costs follows supply chain disruptions linked to the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
According to company sources, the lowest offer for urea delivery to the west coast of India was recorded at $935 per ton on a cost-and-freight basis. Meanwhile, the lowest bid for the east coast reached $959 per ton. These figures represent a substantial increase from the previous urea tender issued by Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers, where bids were positioned at $508 per ton for west coast delivery and $512 per ton for the east coast.
