India services activity accelerated in April as strong domestic demand pushed the sector's growth to a five-month high. The reading rebounded from a 14-month low in March, maintaining a growth streak that began in mid-2021. Robust internal consumption remains the primary engine for the Indian economy, offsetting a visible slowdown in international orders.

### Domestic Demand Drives Services Rebound The HSBC India Services PMI, compiled by S&P Global and released by HSBC HOLDINGS PLC, rose to 58.8 in April from 57.5 in March. This final figure surpassed the preliminary estimate of 57.9 and stayed well above the 50.0 mark that separates expansion from contraction.
