India approves export of millions of tons of wheat and sugar

The Government of India announced on February 13, 2026, the approval to export 2.5 million metric tons of wheat, an additional 500,000 tons of wheat products, and an additional 500,000 tons of sugar. This decision by the administration in India ININ changes official export permissions for major agricultural commodities and alters the quantity of staple commodities India may export. The announcement, which was confirmed at 10:41:22.000Z, authorizes sizable outbound shipments under current export rules.
