Under the terms of the deal, ADNOC Gas has committed to supplying 0.5 million metric tons of fuel annually to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for a period of 10 years. This landmark agreement elevates Indiato the position of the largest customer for the United Arab Emiratesand brings the total contract value between ADNOC Gasand the South Asian nation to more than 20 billion dollars.
The signing ceremony took place during a brief two-hour visit to Indiaby the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sheikh mohammed bin zayed al nahyan. During the visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi narendra modiheld high-level talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyanto discuss the deepening of bilateral ties. The two leaders pledged to double the value of bilateral trade between their nations to 200 billion dollars within the next six years. Currently, the United Arab Emiratesserves as the third largest trading partner for India.
