India and South Korea have announced an ambitious roadmap to double their bilateral trade to $50 billion by 2030, signaling a significant deepening of economic and strategic ties. During a landmark state visit to New Delhi, leaders from both nations identified energy, critical minerals, shipbuilding, semiconductors, and steel as primary sectors for expanded cooperation.
South Korean President Lee Jae Myung is currently conducting a three-day visit to the country, representing the first such presidential mission in eight years. Following high-level discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the two governments agreed to establish a ministerial-level economic cooperation committee to drive shared growth initiatives.
