The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has confirmed that its executive board agreed to maintain the current floor for precautionary balances at 20 billion Special Drawing Rights (SDR), or approximately $29 billion. These balances, consisting of general and special reserves, act as a buffer to protect the institution from potential losses related to credit, income, and other financial risks.
