The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported on Wednesday that jet fuel price volatility and limited hedging capabilities are straining global airline profitability. Northwest Europe crack spreads reached an all-time high of $121 per barrel in March, compared to $30 per barrel before the conflict began in late February. These surging refinery profit margins and regional supply disruptions threaten carrier margins as the conflict persists.
