Huw Pill says BoE must focus on inflation target priority

Huw Pill, the Chief Economist of the Bank of England in the United Kingdom, stated on Friday that the central bank's primary focus must remain on returning inflation to its 2% target. Speaking at a roundtable discussion in the United States hosted by BARCLAYS PLC, Pill emphasized that price stability should take precedence over other economic trade-offs.

In my thinking, for all the discussion about trade-offs, which is there and we have to take into account, I think the primacy of keeping inflation towards target and keeping it there needs to be emphasised.
