Brent crude prices climbed toward 100 dollars per barrel while the Japanese yen weakened to levels that sparked intervention warnings from Tokyo officials.
Global equity markets fell while Brent Crude Oil rose 1.89% on Wednesday as Middle East hostilities intensified. Major indexes retreated from record highs after Iran attacked a Kuwait airport and the United States conducted strikes near the Strait of Hormuz. For investors, the escalation has stalled a multi-session rally and shifted focus toward energy security and safe-haven volatility.
### Middle East Conflict Disrupts Market Momentum The S&P 500 lost 0.48% and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.72% during the Wednesday session. Technology and financial shares led the decline, offsetting gains in the energy sector as Brent crude settled at $97.81 a barrel. Sarmaya Partners chief investment officer Wasif Latif said the market is taking a breather following a strong rally.
