Germany pledges 23.6 million dollars in aid to Sudan

The government of Germany has announced it will provide an additional 20 million euros ($23.58 million) in aid to Sudan this year. According to a statement from the development ministry in Berlin on Wednesday, further funding commitments are currently under review.

By the end of 2025, the ministry had already allocated 155.4 million euros for various projects in Sudan and neighboring countries impacted by the conflict. This new allocation, which expands the existing support framework, was announced ahead of an international aid conference for Sudan held in the German capital. The financial contribution is valued at approximately $23.58 million based on current EUR/USD exchange rates.
