Authorities in France are investigating a suspected link between a pro-Iran group and a foiled attack on the Paris offices of BANK OF AMERICA CORP. The anti-terrorism prosecutor's office identified the group as Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiyya (HAYI), or the Movement of the Companions of the Right Hand of Islam, which released a propaganda video on March 23 targeting Jewish interests and specifically naming the United States bank's headquarters in the 8th district. While the connection has not been formally established, the prosecutor noted that the video and the tactics used suggest a direct link to the organization.
