First Sanctioned Russian LNG Cargo Sets Course for India

A cargo from Russia's sanctioned Portovaya plant is heading to India's Dahej terminal. This marks the first such delivery since US sanctions were tightened.

A shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Portovaya plant in Russia is currently en route to India, marking the first time such a cargo has been directed to the South Asian nation since the facility was placed under sanctions by the United States. According to shipping data from LSEG, the tanker Kunpeng, which carries approximately 138,200 cubic meters of fuel, is destined for the Dahej LNG import terminal located in western India.
