The prominent shipbuilder Fincantieri S.p.A. has reported a significant financial milestone, with its yearly adjusted net profit surging by 150% to reach 143 million euros ($166 million). This robust performance was largely driven by the company's underwater business division, which experienced a remarkable 88% growth in revenue over the fiscal year. Based in Trieste, Italy, the group confirmed its strategic objectives for 2026. The company expects to achieve annual revenue between 9.2 billion and 9.3 billion euros, maintaining a core profit (EBITDA) margin of approximately 7.5%. Management also anticipates a continued upward trajectory for its net profit figures. The shipbuilder's commercial momentum remains strong, with order intake hitting 20.3 billion euros last year. This represents a 32% increase compared to the figures recorded in 2024, signaling sustained demand across its maritime and defense portfolios.
