Fidelity International China head James Sun resigned for personal reasons after one year in the role. The leadership change follows the unit's recent expansion into pension target funds and cross-border mutual recognition products. The departure highlights the management volatility facing foreign asset managers attempting to scale in the competitive mainland market.
### Leadership Transition at the China Unit Sun, a fund industry veteran, stepped down from the general manager position he assumed in May 2022. Fidelity International Asia ex-Japan head Damien Mooney informed staff of the departure, according to people familiar with the matter.
