The Federal Reserve released its Beige Book report on January 14, 2026, offering a snapshot of economic conditions across the
US that showed a modest upgrade in activity compared to the previous period. Eight of the 12 regional districts reported increased economic activity, while employment levels remained mostly unchanged. This qualitative data arrives two weeks ahead of the central bank's next policy meeting on January 27-28, where financial markets widely expect the policy rate to be maintained at the current 3.50%-3.75% range.
