Philadelphia Federal Reserve President Anna Paulson issued a warning on Friday regarding the potential for geopolitical instability to disrupt long-term inflation trends. Speaking at a San Francisco Fed conference, Paulson noted that the prolonged period of elevated inflation in the United States has heightened the risk that commodity shocks stemming from the war in Iran could transition from temporary events into persistent economic hurdles.
