F2i Seeks 1.5 Billion Euros for Seventh Equity Fund
Italian fund F2i aims to raise 1.5 billion euros for its seventh equity fund. CEO Renato Ravanelli expects Europe's stability to attract global investors.
Italian infrastructure fund F2i is confident that the relative stability of Europe amid global upheaval, combined with the strong performance of its recently liquidated fund, will support its goal of raising 1.5 billion euros ($1.7 billion) for a new equity fund. The firm has commenced fundraising for its seventh equity fund, which marks an expansion of its investment strategy beyond Italy to include projects across the broader European continent.
Data from the company indicates that an equity fund launched in 2015, which initially raised 1.2 billion euros, delivered a cumulative average annual yield of 14.5% to its investors. The fund's value reached 2.6 billion euros before liquidation. Chief Executive Renato Ravanelli told Reuters that geopolitical instability is increasingly focusing the attention of international investors on the European market as a relative safe haven.
